Brendan x Emma.

(18..19ish)

"Yup. Just me. She said with a shrug.

"But as I was exploring earlier I noticed a pet store. I'm probably gonna go there tomorrow so I won't be so lonely while I'm here."

(I just realized that we've been saying London....but the Eiffel Tower is in Paris, France.... )

(For some reason, I thought they would be younger than that- but it's okay. I noticed that too, so I edited it to 'Big Ben'!)

"Oh. I can come there with you tomorrow, I hope. Even though I'm an adult, I still pay rent for my dad. I really should check in and for you to meet him."

Brendan leaned closer to the door.

"Oh?" she said kind of surprised.

"You want me to meet your father?"

Brendan nods.

"He's a chill guy. My mom said he looked alike in everything. You can knock on the door now."

Why do I have to knock on the door? Shouldn't you...?

"Oh alright."

She knocked on the door.

A tall looking older version of Brendan opened the door. He eyed his son and Emma seriously.

"I've been excepting you..."

He laughed and dropped the serious act.

"Nasagot ko na sa iyo."

Brendan looked up.

I honestly thought my dad would get pissed at me for being late! "Nasagot ko na masyado kang. Dad, this is my colleague Emma. She lives just across from us and we've been in the same show together."

Emma was relieved that Brendan's father was so friendly.

She bowed respectfully.

"Hi sir, nice to meet you." She said with a smile.

Brendan's dad smiled back at Emma.

"Call me Andrew. Brendan really has got good taste in girls. I watched your show..."

Andrew scratched the back of his head.

"Total Dream Island?"

Emma nodded and smiled

"Oh well thank you. And yes sir, that's right."

Brendan felt annoyed at his father for mispronouncing the name of the show.

"Actually, it's Total Drama Island."

Andrew grimaced.

"Same dif, papulanditin."

Nobody has called me that since I was young...

"Wasn't it the West kid that won at the end? Or was it any of Brendan's friends?"

"I actually don't recall who won.." she said scratching the back of her head.

"Oh...uh...I really don't know what to talk about. So might if you tell me something about yourself."

Just as long as you don't show her the photo album like you and mom showed every other girl.

"You're very interesting. Brendan was right about you, after all! I do AV repair, so give me a few days and if you want, I can fix your camera for you."

"Hey dad. You don't mind if I make something, right? I've been starved since the plane ride and you can't eat those peanuts."

"Go ahead. The pantry's right over there."

Brendan decided not to intrupt again and started cooking abodo.

"Oh really? That'd be great thank you I really appreciate it."

Emma took her camera out of her bag.

Emma glanced at Brendan, I didn't know Brendan could cook..

Andrew analyzed the camera.

"It looks pretty broken alright. Don't worry- this can be fixed easily."

Brendan looked back at them and waved. He was cooking the chicken.

I sure hope you like Philippine food, Emma.

Emma smiled in relief. "That's really good to here."

Although she was speaking with his father, Emma couldn't help but think about all the questions she had for Brendan.

"If my dad found out about this, I don't think he'd be too happy." she said with a light laugh.

Brendan was still casually cooking. He still couldn't stop thinking about Emma's dissonance.

Andrew grimaced.

"Oh, in that case. Should I fix it as soon as possible?"

"No, it's okay. I can do it right now."

He starts taking out his tool box. Brendan came back.

"Well, the food's still cooking."

Emma smiled.

"Wht are you cooking? she asked curiously.

Brendan looked sheepish.

"Oh, just abodo..."
